Ninety-five percent of the global market is outside of the United States. This session will provide insight about the National Export strategy and MBDA’s role in three priority markets: Africa, Latin America and Asia. We will also discuss how the MBDA Business Centers can be leveraged to deliver on the three Presidential Initiatives to help MBEs expand their businesses globally. The session will highlight best practices in international market analysis, securing export financing support, and developing export capacity. Session will address the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Trans-Atlantic Partnership, Doing Business in Africa, Look South, and other trade opportunities.
“Financing Business Growth with MBDA’s Financing Partners”
This dynamic panel will give an overview of MBDA Access to Capital services. Topics will include recent partnerships with lenders that facilitate deal flow and guidelines on how to access programs and services at an agency level and with the network of MBDA centers. Learn how to connect to your local MBDA center and leverage a wide array of financing types. The panelists will introduce resources that include a national network of CDFI funds, accounts receivable financing, sources of growth capital for inner cities, new categories of marketplace lenders and exciting Merger and Acquisition (M&A) opportunities with private equity firms. The conversation will focus on how minority businesses (MBEs) can access these various types of capital, as well as highlight market trends that are bringing new growth opportunities to MBEs.
